HARTSELLE, Ala. (Waffle) – A Hartselle principal received special recognition Thursday during the Alabama Board of Education meeting.

Karissa Lang, principal of Crestline Elementary, attended the state school board meeting chaired by Governor Kay Ivey.

During the meeting, the board of education approved a resolution recognizing Lang for her efforts in school leadership. She won the Terrel H. Bell Award for Outstanding School Leadership and was honored with the National Blue Ribbon Award for District 7.
