A Seneca Falls woman has been charged with theft following a shoplifting incident at the Walmart Super Center last month.

Joan M. Stuck, 57, was arrested Tuesday evening at 8:52 pm by the Seneca Falls Police Department. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident on Oct. 19 in which Stuck was observed taking merchandise and walking through all outlets without paying.

Stuck was charged with petit larceny, a Class A felony. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.

The Waterloo Police Department assisted in the arrest of Stuck. Authorities have not disclosed the value or type of merchandise involved in the theft.
