The makers of Costco’s Kirkland Signature Sweet Cream Butter quietly recalled nearly 80,000 pounds of the product last month, as recommended by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Yes, it happened in October, per Food and wine. The ingredient was pulled from shelves because the labels of both salted and unsalted Kirkland Signature Sweet Cream varieties failed to disclose that the product “contains milk,” an important allergy warning. The latest update is that, from November 7withdrawal is considered a Second class recallmeaning that use of the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences,” according to the FDA.

The “best before” dates for the one-pound, four-stick packages range from February 22, 2025 to March 29, 2025. Here’s a more specific breakdown:
