A lorry overturned on the A12, blocking a junction and closing a ramp to northbound traffic.

Essex Police said they were at the scene of the crash at Boreham Junction in Chelmsford just after 0600 GMT.

They said they expected the intersection to remain inaccessible to northbound traffic throughout the morning hours to allow recovery work.

The intersection can still be accessed by motorists traveling southbound.
