BALTIMORE — Help for Hurricanes Milton and Helene victims with a little help from the Baltimore Orioles.

On Tuesday, the team partnered with MedStar Health and the Red Cross for a blood drive at Camden Yards.

Organizers say there is always an increase in need when a natural disaster strikes because blood donations in those areas are not always possible.

While Tuesday’s blood drive has ended, there are always upcoming events to give back.

“We’re back in the holiday season, people who want to give back blood, donating is the most amazing gift you could give,” says Bethany Bray Patterson of the Red Cross.

“You don’t have to pack it. It costs nothing and helps save lives. We have a series of blood drives in the Baltimore area,”

Those who participated received a $10 e-gift card to Red Cross partner companies.

The Orioles also gave away some tickets to the game to people who came out to donate.
