NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man is facing charges after he allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint during an apparently contrived deal with Facebook Marketplace in late October, according to an arrest report.

The report states that Perry Johnson, 40, contacted the victim, with whom he had done several Facebook Marketplace businesses, for the victim to pick up to complete an outstanding purchase of dehumidifiers and air purifiers for the restoration company. the victim.

The victim was going to buy more dehumidifiers and fans for $900 from Johnson, based on previous text messages exchanged between the two. The report states the victim picked Johnson up and drove to the Cove at Priest Lake Apartments in Hermitage, where he was told the equipment was being stored.

Upon arrival, the suspect pretended to contact the person who stored the equipment in the garage of the apartment. The report states that Johnson then asked the victim, “Do you want to go to your daughter’s house tonight?”
