Quarterback Daniel Jones may have taken the final snaps of his New York Giants career during New York’s 20-17 overtime loss to the hapless Carolina Panthers (3-7) in Germany on Sunday .

During Monday’s edition of WFAN’s morning show, former MVP and current NFL analyst Boomer Esiason suggestsSted Jones is a flawed caller to say the least as it relates to the Giants’ tenure.

“They have a quarterback who is completely locked up mentally,” Esiason said, as he put it Ryan Chichester by Audacity. “It’s paralysis by Daniel Jones’ analysis. They gave up probably nine to 20 points on the court from colossal mistakes and missed opportunities.”

Jones rushed for a touchdown Sunday and completed 22 of 37 passes for 190 yards with zero scores and two interceptions. After the loss, head coach Brian Daboll hinted that he could call on either primary backup Drew Lock or QB3 Tommy DeVito during Week 11 of the club.

New York then hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6) on Nov. 24.

The The Giants signed Jones to a four-year deal in March 2023 after leading the club to a playoff victory, but he is since he left 3-13 as a starter. Even though Daboll still believes Jones gives the Giants the best chance to win games, most expect the coach will wait, the 27-year-old so warranty against damage for 2025 attached to his contract will not be triggered.
