Levien wants employees to “thank you with crumbs,” while she earned $10.3 million last year, according to the billboard the group posted last week. The Guild also accused Sobel of trying to “force remote tech workers back into the office” while he “remotely works from Silicon Valley.”

They “made a conscious decision to jeopardize Times journalism on election night rather than come to the negotiating table and work with us to complete this contract,” said Anthony Napoli, treasurer of the NewsGuild of NY. “Our members will continue to fight until we get a fair contract. We will accept nothing less.”

The New York Times said Fox News Digital that they “look forward to continuing to work with the Tech Guild to reach a fair contract that takes into account that they are already among the highest paid individual contributors in the company, and journalism is our top priority.”
