A woman has been left with her boyfriend because of his new ‘meowing’ habit, which prevents him from communicating with her in the traditional way.

The unnamed girlfriend accepted RedditHis relationship advice forum to ask the internet what he would do in her situation, and it’s fair to say people have had a lot of thoughts about it.

Apparently, she significant other started meowing as a joke, but the habit turned into something more.

Writing in her job the 23-year-old said: “My boyfriend (22) stopped talking/interacting with me completely because of the meowing. I know this sounds crazy, but I’m going crazy.

She went on to explain what meowing is, and for those who don’t know, it’s a technique that some believe will improve the aesthetics of the jawline, making it more defined.

Although it has a similar name, it has nothing to do with meowing like a cat – although we can imagine it would get very annoying very quickly.

Conformable Today’s Medical News, meowing “involves placing the tongue on the roof of the mouth while closing the lips and placing the teeth together.”

However, there is currently no scientific evidence that it works, just a few anecdotes shared on social media.

In fact, Dr. Michael Mew, the orthodontist behind the viral “tiny” trend has he was recently barred from practice after sharing “inappropriate and misleading” information about a controversial dental practice on YouTube.

right Daily Mailwas slammed after he shared a video about orthotropics, a theory developed by his father that states that misaligned bites and dental problems can be fixed through muscle exercises and physiotherapy.

The dentist, who is the only orthotropic doctor in the UK, was heard to have advised the children against braces, instead recommending neck braces and expanders so their teeth could “align naturally”.

The General Dental Council told a professional conduct panel that its advice caused “harm” to two young patients, with one boy suffering “seizure-like episodes” after receiving treatment.

Explaining her own situation, the frustrated girlfriend continued her post by saying that in the few weeks since her boyfriend started meowing, he “basically destroyed (their) relationship.”

She added: “He has gone so far sending text messages me during our time together just so he wouldn’t have to talk to me and he could keep meowing. He hardly eats, drinks or anything that would make him unable to do this.

“My last drink was this weekend, I was cleaning around the house and found hidden pamphlets teaching people how to meow. Not only does he do it all the time himself, but now he spends all his free time handing out these pamphlets to strangers.

“I literally don’t know what to do and even after countless conversations begging him to stop, I’m at a loss.”

Dozens of people flocked to the comments to share their thoughts and words of wisdom for the woman, with many branding the whole thing “ridiculous”. One person wrote: “This is so ridiculous.”

Another urged her to leave him, proclaiming: ‘You’re 23 and you should be having fun right now. Throw the whole man away’, while a third replied: ‘If you don’t live with him, tell him you’ll talk when he’s done meowing. Leave any texts read. Actually, move on with your life.

Some on Reddit were concerned about his change in behavior, with one user adding: “I would recommend talking to a mental health professional. Without more information, it’s hard to say, but this level of intensity interfering with his functioning and relationships combined with his age is concerning.

It seems that this man’s bizarre habit has given to the woman “cancer”which Dr. Becky Spelman, psychologist and clinical director of the Private Therapy Clinic, describes it as “the sudden onset of feeling that a previously attracted person is suddenly unattractive, to the point where physical contact seems revolting.”

The things that can set people off vary, but they’re normally pretty inconsequential traits inexplicably disgusts them.

If this is the case for this couple, what exactly can I do about it?

Well, it all depends on the individual and how strongly they feel the pain. Aside from this particular issue that’s bothering you, do you feel like your partner is otherwise a great person who makes you laugh, treats you well, and is kind to others? If so, it might be a bit rash to throw them over something small.

However, the ick could be an indication of a wider feeling. Do you find many things they do annoying or creepy? If so, you may not have the level of respect you need for someone to make a relationship work.

Give it some thought and ultimately do what you think is right because it would be unfair for your partner to string you along if you are embarrassed by him or don’t like his personality.
