Ghanaians have been quite critical of the Electoral Commission of Ghana for not providing the political parties who requested it with the full number of eligible voters who are registered.

Many have wondered why the Electoral Commission of Ghana should act as if they have no idea what kind of work they have been given and are continually deviating.

The NDC, Ghana’s largest opposition party, claimed that since 1992, the Electoral Commission of Ghana had provided them with summary sheets; so why should the current electoral commissioners refuse to give them what they want and continue to skirt the issue? Currently, no one is certain of the percentage of voters the Commission would anticipate voting on Election Day or the total number of eligible registered voters who would vote in the general election scheduled for December 7, 2024.

Thanks to this political activist, Shamima Muslim told the Electoral Commission of Ghana that they should not treat voter statistics as a state secret but make them available to the public and praised political parties for educating voters than the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the NCCE.

“To be honest, over the years, political parties have done better in educating voters than the EC and NCCE. figures,” Shamima Muslim informed the Commission online through social media posts that were trending on November 8, 2024.
