The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the police not to take any action against actor Allu Arjun till November 6 in connection with a police case filed for alleged violations of the election code in Nandyal during the 2024 elections. The case, filed with the Election Commission of India (ECI), accuses Arjun of violating election protocols by holding a rally. This order provides temporary relief to the actor as he seeks to have the case dismissed, Times Now reported.

Actor Allu Arjun has filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court to dismiss a police case against him stemming from his visit to former MLA Silpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy ahead of the 2024 elections. His lawyer Y. Nagi Reddy argued that Arjun’s visit was purely personal and not related to any political activity.

Allu Arjun’s lawyer argued that he should not be held responsible for the crowd that gathered outside Silpa’s residence, adding that since he does not belong to any political party, there is no question of violating the model code of conduct . Following the plea, the High Court ordered the police to take no further action until further notice, with a decision due on November 6.

What happened

The police filed a case against Arjun for alleged violation of Section 144 and Police Act 30 during his visit to Nandyal ahead of the Assembly elections. A large crowd reportedly gathered to welcome him and it was alleged that he visited without prior permission, resulting in a breach of the code of conduct.

On the work front, Allu Arjun will next be seen in Pushpa 2 – The Rule. The film, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is highly anticipated by fans worldwide. The excitement comes from the success of his first film, Pushpa – The Rise, which raised expectations for the sequel.

The film is all set to hit the theaters on December 5. On Thursday, Allu Arjun took to X and shared a new poster along with the updated release date. He shared the poster with the caption ‘#Pushpa2TheRuleOnDec5th’.
