The first front will move in by Monday, bringing drier, less humid air back into the SWLA. We may see some patchy fog to start the day, but the sun returns in the afternoon with a northerly breeze. Tuesday morning lows look to reach the mid/upper 50s even up the I-10 corridor.

The next cold front will approach our area in the middle of next week and the front should move through on Thursday. There could be a few showers ahead of her, and moisture from the remnant of Rafael could also move into our region. Because of this, we’ve included some light rain chances in Wednesday’s forecast and will be watching trends early this week.

Temperatures will be cooler behind this front. Low temperatures should drop into the 50s for most areas Friday morning. Some spots could even reach the upper 40s! Afternoon highs will also be closer to normal, with most areas only reaching the mid to upper 70s, perhaps closer to 80.

Rafael has now weakened into a remnant low in the Gulf, and its remnants will continue to meander for several days. They may contribute a bit to the rain chances on Wednesday. But no tropical development is expected from it or anywhere else in the Atlantic during the coming week.
