KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A man is dead in another shooting near a Kansas City park in what has become a deadly weekend around the metro area.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department says that just before 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, emergency crews were called to the area of ​​27th and Garfield Ave., near Spring Valley Park and Plaza, with reports of a shooting.

When first responders arrived, they said they were directed to a home, where they found an unresponsive man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators noted that several people were at the scene when they arrived. Consequently, one of them, another man, was arrested. No other suspects are being sought at this time.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was inside the home when an argument with another person led to shots being fired and he was struck. No further information has been released as the investigation continues.
