An alleged thief has been arrested for stealing tools from Home Depot.

Julie Jarmusik, 43, of Ocala, was detained by a loss prevention officer after she put tools in her purse and tried to leave the store without paying for the items, according to a Police Department arrest report Lady Lake.

When an officer arrived on scene, it was determined that the Massachusetts native attempted to steal two Husky sockets valued at $6.34, a Husky ratchet wrench valued at $10.47, a wood-handled foam brush , valued at $3.08 and a bottle of water.

A criminal history check showed he has no prior convictions for theft.

Jarmusik was arrested on theft charges. She was booked into the Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
