JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – ESPN’s Adam Schefter rEPORTS Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will undergo season-ending surgery on a partially torn hamstring.

Prescott suffered a hamstring injury in last week’s 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

The former Mississippi State Bulldog had 1,978 yards passing this season before the injury, with 11 touchdowns to eight interceptions.

Schefter reports that surgery is believed to sideline Prescott for four months.

With Prescott out, the Cowboys plan to start Cooper Rush with Trey Lance as the backup.
