OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police released body camera footage showing an officer tackling a 70-year-old man to the ground, who was later hospitalized.

The incident on October 17 started from an argument over a traffic violation.

Police said during the confrontation, the elderly man “suffered serious injuries that required hospitalization.”

As a result, the office has been placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the police investigation. The findings will be presented to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s office.
