GACTC responds to allegations made against the school’s executive director

Officials at the Career and Technology Center of Greater Altoona are responding to reports of allegations against the school’s executive director.

According to a statement from the school, GACTC was made aware of the allegations against Executive Director Eric Palmer on Friday.

The Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center (GACTC) became aware of allegations regarding Executive Director Eric Palmer on November 8, 2024. GACTC takes the allegations seriously and has taken appropriate action in the meantime. GACTC will cooperate fully with any investigation. Ms. Nicole Zernick will be interim executive director.

While authorities have not yet confirmed the nature of the allegations, 6 News has learned that state police are involved in the investigation.

According to previous reports, Palmer was named the school’s executive director in 2018 after serving as director of the Indiana County Technology Center.
