Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is reportedly starting a preliminary investigation into the crash of a new recruit. F-16 fighter jet – which led to his death Ukrainian Air Force pilot Oleksii Mes.

Eleven forensic experts were appointed to investigate, Sigh reported.

The Kiev Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has been tasked with conducting the investigation, which will include technical analysis of the plane, analysis from military experts, analysis of the F-16’s flight recorder, a medical examination, and more much.

The SBI said “conclusions will be drawn” after receiving and analyzing all expert findings.

Mes died on August 26 while defending against a massive Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine.

President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that the findings of the investigation will be made public once completed.
