Spectacular weather on Saturday!

We will have mostly clear skies and dry conditions this evening. It will also be cold again tonight as lows range from the mid-20s to the upper 40s. It will also be breezy along the Rocky Mountain Front this evening as sustained winds will be between 10 and 25 mph.

For tomorrow, we will have beautiful weather as we will have mostly sunny skies, dry conditions, little to no wind, and mild temperatures as highs will be in the 50s and lows in the 60s in most locations. Be sure to spend some time outdoors tomorrow if you can!

After that, Sunday will see a few showers and mountain snow, especially over higher ground, as a disturbance makes its way through our area. We’ll also have mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures on Sunday as highs will be in the 50s and 40s. There will also be little hunting in some areas on Sunday as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 20 mph.

Unsettled weather is expected next week as more disturbances move through Montana. Monday through Thursday will be windy in many areas as sustained winds will be between 10 and 30 mph with gusts over 40 mph possible. Typically, a weaker wind is expected in the valleys during these four days. Also, this wind will come from the southwest most days. Then there will be a slight breeze on Friday.

We will also have partly to mostly cloudy skies for all of next week, except for Thursday when partly to mostly sunny skies are expected. Around Helena, we’ll have a chance to see some rain showers and mountain snow, generally over higher ground, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. There will be scattered rain and snow showers around Helena on Tuesday, especially over higher ground. In north-central Montana, a few rain and snow showers are possible each day (Monday through Thursday), but most, if not all, of that precipitation will fall in the mountains.

On Friday, there will be some scattered rain and snow showers during the afternoon and evening as a stronger disturbance begins to affect our area. Friday currently has the best chance of precipitation for north-central Montana over the next week.

The start of next week will be mild as highs will be in the 50s in most locations on Monday, but a cold front will drop our temperatures back into the mid to low 40s and mid 50s for Tuesday. Then it will be slightly warmer Wednesday and Thursday as highs will be in the 50s and 40s, but another cold front will drop temperatures back into the 40s for Friday.
