Here’s how all 71 Iowa high school football teams ranked in this week’s Gazette poll fared in Friday night’s Week 9 games.

The No. 1-ranked teams in Class 4A and 3A fell on the final night of the regular season. Sixth-ranked Gilbert beat Pella 14-7 in 4A and No. 8 Benton shut it out. Williamsburg21-0 in 3A.

Iowa City High upset 5A’s last undefeated no. 2 Bettendorf, 42-23.

North Polk and Decorah are the only undefeated teams in 4A.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton and Dubuque Wahlert finished the regular season 9-0 in 3A.

It was the first round of the 2A, 1A, A and 8-man playoffs and there were upsets there too. Crestwood upset No. 7 Roland-Story, 27-23, in 2A, while West Branch took down No. 4 Sigourney-Keota, 41-33, in 1A. Both the Cadets (4-5) and Bears (3-6) move on with losing records.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association will release updated playoff pairings for all seven classes Saturday morning.

The Gazette will release the final polls for 5A, 4A and 3A on Monday.

Class 5A

No. 1 West Des Moines Dowling beat Sioux City North, 46-6

No. 2 Bettendorf lost to Iowa City High, 42-23

No. 3 Ankeny Centennial defeated Urbandale, 49-7

No. 4 West Des Moines Valley defeated Marshalltown, 35-8

No. 5 Johnston defeated No. 9 Sioux City East, 35-14

No. 6 Iowa City Liberty defeated Cedar Rapids Jefferson, 70-33

No. 7 Linn-Mar lost to No. 8 Pleasant Valley, 35-21

No. 8 Pleasant Valley beat No. 7 Linn-Mar, 35-21

No. 9 Sioux City East lost to No. 5 Johnston, 35-14
