JOHNSON — A break-in at the Get Yours store in Johnson on Nov. 2 led to the arrest of a Hyde Park man, according to the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities received a call reporting that the store’s front door, valued at more than $2,000, was damaged during the break-in.

An investigation quickly followed, culminating in the arrest of 44-year-old Kory Rooney.

Rooney faces charges of theft and possession of burglary tools.

He was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Center in lieu of $1,500 bail.

Following his arrest, Rooney was arraigned in Lamoille County Court on November 7 at 12:30 p.m.

The sheriff’s department has not released further details about the stolen items or the extent of the property damage.
