How to help family affected by deadly southwest Las Vegas fire

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Four bodies have been recovered from a deadly fire in southwest Las Vegas, and two people are being treated at the hospital.

The fire started early Thursday morning near Shelbourne and Jones. Firefighters arrived at a three-story house with fire coming from the second and third floors.

The heat pushed firefighters and delayed the search for victims.

The fire near Windmill and Torrey Pines started early Thursday morning.

At 4:22 a.m. that day, crews extinguished the fire. Shortly after 18.00, the bodies were recovered.

Clark County said Las Vegas Valley residents have been asking how they can help.

The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation is accepting donations throughout the month of November for the family.

Clark County says Friday through Nov. 24, 100 percent of donations Here will go to the affected family.

Clark County says the cause of the fire is undetermined and the identities of the victims are still pending.

The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation is comprised of active duty fire department personnel who provide support to victims of fires and catastrophic events.
