How did the public react to Gallant’s firing? – Israel’s politics

In the background the sudden dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and the perennial problems with the Haredi bill, the coalition bloc dropped to a low of just 49 seats, while the opposition climbed to a 61-seat majority in the most recent led by Maariv.

The survey was led by Lazar Research, led by Dr. Menachem Lazar and in collaboration with Panel4All.

The results showed that despite Likud gaining one seat to 24 seats, the coalition overall fell by three seats to 49, compared to 61 for the opposition parties without the Arab parties, which have ten seats.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionist Party received just 2.9 percent support this week, again falling short of the threshold.

Yesh Atid, led by Yair Lapid, and the Democrats, led by Yair Golan, both won two seats, bringing them to 15 and 13 seats respectively, 13 being the highest result for the new Democratic party since it was founded in July.
