A new iPhone phenomenon is a problem for cops and robbers

A new phenomenon is apparently causing seized iPhones to restart themselves and send signals to nearby phones to do the same — and we don’t know yet if it’s a bug or an intentional feature.

According to a report by 404 Averagelaw enforcement officers in the US have noticed and warned about a problem where iPhones reboot themselves, making it much harder to unlock without the original user’s input.
