Crash into pole results in serious injuries, brush fire in Norfolk

NORFOLK, CT (WFSB) – A car crashed into a utility pole on West Greenwoods Rd. friday evening

The car crash sent the pole down onto power lines, starting a brush fire on both sides of the road.

So far, 2 acres have burned, according to Norfolk Public Information Officer Jon Barbagallo. The fire has since been brought under control.

Police have not identified anyone involved.

State police said the crash caused serious injuries. One person was transported by Life Star for treatment.

Greenwoods Rd. is closed as a result of the incident. Police are continuing their investigation at the scene.
