An official spokesman said the state government had set a target of increasing the number of calls to 7,000 a day. At present, the number of out-patient department (OPD) visits in Haryana is about 1 lakh per day.

The CM also ordered the suspension of Agarwal Nursing Home in Kurukshetra for allegedly charging money from a patient undergoing treatment under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. About 45 million eligible families receive health coverage 5 lakh per family per annum in Haryana. There are 1,227 hospitals included in the state, including 502 public and 725 private hospitals.

Dashboard to provide real-time information about equipment

The CM directed that a digital inventory portal linked to the CM dashboard be set up on priority. The portal will provide real-time information on the availability of medical equipment such as ICUs, ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, CT scanners and more. He also asked to ensure round-the-clock availability of cardiologist and other associated staff in Cathlabs established in government hospitals. The CM said that a comprehensive plan should be put in place to ensure that every district hospital is equipped with an ICU. At present, six hospitals are ready for operation.

The CM was informed that currently there are 15 medical colleges in the state and six new nursing colleges are being built.
