What’s next for Tim Walz?

After losing the 2024 election, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz they promised to continue the fight.

In her concession speechHarris said, “While I recognize this election, I do not recognize the struggle that fueled this campaign,” she said. “The fight for freedom, for opportunity, for fairness and dignity for all people. A fight for the ideals at the heart of our nation, the ideals that reflect America at its best. This is a fight I will never give up.”

As Walz left the event, he was asked what was next for him. His answer was just one word: “Minnesota.” He will continue to serve as governor of Minnesota with two years remaining on his term.

On TikTok, his daughter I hope Walz shared a video of her behind the wheel with her brother Gus. “We’re driving without the Secret Service for the first time!” she said. “We’re listening to Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’ and just wanted to say we appreciate everyone. We love you all. Our father is doing great and is ready to continue the fight here in Minnesota. — because it will be a safe place for every person.” She added: “We’ll be fine. On Instagram, Hope also posted a picture of Tim and their cat, writing: “The earth keeps spinning and we live to fight another day.”

Walz posted on his social media: “Thank you Vice President Kamala Harris for placing your trust in me and selecting me as your running mate. Campaigning with you has been the honor and privilege of my life. Although the result is not what we wanted. , I am grateful to the millions of Americans who joined our campaign and supported our highest ideals: decency, compassion and love for our neighbor.”

He concluded: “Now more than ever, we need you to keep fighting for those values ​​and the country we all love.”
