Little chihuahua being brave at the beach after a dog attack gives people the feels

A pet owner’s trip to the beach was made even sweeter knowing her precious Chihuahua was safe. The dog was able to return to the same beach where it was attacked by another dog a year ago. And his growth has his mother almost in tears.

We can only imagine how scary it was when the Chihuahua was attacked. Which makes his return to the beach all the more exciting.

We can tell Chihuahua mom was so excited to see her dog thrive on their recent trip. The memories are probably still a little fresh, but it’s good to know that her dog is now on the other side of this trauma. It’s definitely a win for the little guy.

“From being attacked a year ago, to being a brave little man at the beach in front of other dogs today,” Georgi wrote in video text overlay. “I’m not crying at the beach,” she admitted in the caption.

The comments section was so happy for the chicks. “Nobody will understand the trauma it causes afterwards unless they’ve been through it. Glad he is well and thriving,” one person wrote. “So sorry for the attack. It would be traumatic for both of us,” another agreed. “Dear love, I’m glad he’s doing well and you’re both enjoying your time together!” praised another person. “Poor little guy..I’m sorry this happened, just awful..I’m glad he ends up on the right side..They are very strong and resilient dogs,” another pointed out.

What to do after your dog is attacked

Seeing her dog attack it can be so scary for a pet owner. And it may even be unclear what you should do if you are the child is the victim of violence.

First of all, stay calm. It’s reasonable to want to panic, but it won’t scare the dog any more than if you do. Don’t try to separate the dogs yourself, but try to distract the other dog with a loud noise, like clapping. Do not make eye contact as the other dog may see this as a threat. You can also try to call your dog away from the fight and encourage the other dog owner to do the same.

Once the dogs are separated, be sure to document the incident and share information with the other pet owner. You may want to report the incident to animal control and then bring your pet to the vet. Even if the injuries don’t seem serious, you want to be sure.

Again, the key word here is calm. Your dog is always looking to you for cues on how to react. So if you stay calm, they will stay calm. And that will do things much Easier.
