The Colorado State Patrol said troopers were struck by an oncoming vehicle while investigating the crash scene.

Officers were working a property damage accident in Golden Wednesday afternoon. “There was one officer staged in a police car prior to the scene of the accident and two additional officers manning the scene of the accident when a passing vehicle entered the scene. Both officers at the scene of the original crash were struck and forced under the original crashed vehicle,” CSP said in a press release.
