South African exotic dancer Zodwa Wabantu, known for her bold personality, is making headlines again – this time over serious assault allegations.

Tebogo Makgoba, took to Instagram to share her experience, claiming she was physically attacked by Zodwa in an unprovoked attack.

“I was attacked last night by your favorite Zodwa wa Bantu,” Tebogo wrote, alongside heartbroken and crying emojis. She described the incident as a brutal, unexpected attack, saying: “Oh shame, azanka ka bethiwa so (I have never been beaten like this). For what I don’t know.” Tebogo claims Zodwa left her with broken braces and a damaged phone, adding: “He broke my phone and braces.”

Tebogo’s post ended with a plea for guidance as she expressed feeling lost and overwhelmed: “Please help me, akitsi ke ire byang”, meaning “I don’t know what to do”.

Tebogo told him Sun daily the alleged assault of Zodwa Wabantu following a night out at a concert.

Tebogo, who accompanied his DJ friend, said they were enjoying VIP treatment when Zodwa joined their table. Tebogo claimed to have seen Zodwa in an argument with her boyfriend outside. Suddenly, Zodwa allegedly turned on Tebogo, slapping him, hitting him and pulling his hair until he fell.

Tebogo recalled repeatedly asking her why she was attacked, to which Zodwa allegedly responded by calling her a “slut”.

The incident left Tebogo with a damaged hairline, swollen lips, bruised knees, broken braces and a cracked phone screen.

In response to Tebogo’s Instagram post detailing Zodwa Wabantu’s alleged attack, Women for ChangeSA commented with words of support and encouragement.
