FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Opens in Edgefield County

COLUMBIA, SC (WRDW/WAGT) – A disaster recovery center will open in Edgefield County to provide personal assistance to South Carolinians affected by Hurricane Helene, according to a news release from the Federal Emergency Management Agency .

FEMA announced Friday that a recovery center will be open from Oct. 26 to Oct. 28 at the Edgefield Scout Hut Building on Penn Street.

The program will be from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m

The press release also states that additional Disaster Recovery Centers are scheduled to open in other South Carolina counties.

Landlords and Tenants in Abbeville, Aiken, Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Cherokee, Chester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Greenville, Greenwood, Hampton, Jasper, Kershaw, Laurens, Lexington, McCormick, Newberry, Oconee, Orangeburg, Pickens, Richland, Saluda, Spartanburg, Union and York counties and the Catawba Indian Nation can apply for federal assistance.
