Naomi Biden, the eldest granddaughter of President Joe Biden, has announced that she is expecting her first child.

Naomi shared the news in an Instagram story on Nov. 5, election day. Alongside a mirror selfie that showed off her baby bump, she wrote: ‘(voted). Naomi wore an all black outfit along with a ‘I voted’ sticker.

This will be Naomi’s first child with husband Peter Neal. The two married in 2022 in the first White House wedding since Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, married Marc Mezvinsky in 2010. ceremony took place on the White House lawn. Naomi wore a Ralph Lauren lace gown and was walked down the aisle by her father and mother, per People.

Naomi is a graduate of Columbia Law and the daughter of President Biden’s son Hunter and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle.

Earlier this year, Naomi he confessed in her father’s gun trial. She testified that her father’s drug use “turned bad” after her uncle Beau’s death. “After my uncle died, things got worse,” she said.

She went on to say that she “told him I was so proud of him” when he was living with a sober coach in 2018. “He seemed great, he seemed hopeful,” she added.

As Naomi said PBS Newshour in 2020, she and her family are extremely close to President Biden. “We grew up together,” she said. “He made sure that every tradition, every holiday, we’re all together… I don’t think there was a decision, no matter how big or small, that we didn’t make as a family.”
