The developers of Guilty Gear Strive apologize for the issues with version 1.40

The team at Arc System Works acknowledged the issues with the latest patch and promised to prioritize another update.

Last week, Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass 4 was released with Queen Dizzy character and a balance update. Unfortunately, the update, version 1.40, did not go as well as Arc System Works had hoped. After the update was released, players discovered a variety of issues that are currently affecting the game. ArcSys has since apologized for the issues and promised to prioritize an update that will alleviate these issues.

Arc System Works has addressed the complaints regarding Guilty Gear Strive Version 1.40 in a post on the official website Guilty Gear Social Channel. Specifically, lead Ken Miyauchi, producer of Guilty Gear Strive apologized for the issue and promised that there have been discussions about fixes and the timing of the next patch now:

It’s the rough shape Guilty Gear Strive is in as it enters its fourth season. The last update was highly controversial for completely dismantling certain previous playstyles on characters like Potemkin and Sol, while characters like Johnny and Ramlethal were left untouched or even vastly improved. Toss massive list of bugs shipped with this patch on top and feels like a rare but glaring misstep for an otherwise flawless game.

Given that Arc System Works has acknowledged the issues with Guilty Gear Strive Version 1.40, hopefully we’ll see fixes soon. Until then, stay tuned to Shacknews for further coverage and updates.
