Royal fans say the same thing where Queen Camilla doesn’t have royal duties | Royal | News

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Tuesday that Queen Camilla is currently unwell with a chest infection and will miss some royal duties, including the annual Field of Remembrance event on Thursday and a reception for Olympic and Paralympic athletes hosted by the king.

In a statement issued yesterday afternoon, a Palace spokesman said: “Her Majesty The Queen is currently ill with a chest infection for which her doctors have recommended a short period of rest.

“It is with great regret that Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but very much hopes that she will be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.

“It apologizes to anyone who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”

The news comes just weeks after the Queen, 77, and King Charles, 75, wrapped up their royal tour of Australia and Samoa.

With the Queen having gone out of her way for most of the year to support the King and attend engagements on his behalf following his cancer diagnosis in February, royal fans were left “saddened” by the news that she he doesn’t feel well.

On X, one royal fan wrote: “Praying for Her Majesty Queen Camilla and also the King. May they be blessed with strength in mind and body.

“Their continued presence in our lives is not only an inspiration, but a source of stability, which the world needs today.”

A second fan said: “Get well soon, our king needs you by his side that’s for sure, if only to make him laugh and cheer him up on his dark days.”

People were also quick to comment on how he needs to rest, especially after doing so much for the Royal Family in recent months, while other members of the family themselves have been feeling unwell. including King Charles and Princess Kate, who were diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. .

One person wrote: “He deserves some time off anyway, he’s over 70 and hasn’t had a real break in a while. We hope he recovers soon.”

Another said: “He deserves a break. She has done very well as queen so far. He didn’t put a foot wrong.”

The Queen is expected to return to royal duties at the weekend if she is well enough for the service on Remembrance Day Sunday.
