On Tuesday evening, November 5, 2024, Representative John Lively claimed victory in his race for Oregon House District 7.

Rep. Lively won the race with 55.9% of the vote.

Declaration full of liberation in declaring his victory,

I want to thank my fellow community members for putting their trust in me. Having the opportunity to continue to serve my community in the Oregon House of Representatives is one of the greatest honors of my life.

I also want to thank my hardworking team and the dozens of volunteers who have given their time and energy over many months to this campaign and a shared vision for the future.

Over these many months, I have been fortunate to have an opponent equally engaged and concerned with the community. While Cory and I have different ideas about how to move this community forward, I know we both share a love for this place and a hope for the future.

In the months and years ahead, I look forward to being your voice in Salem. I will continue to fight for a quality education for every child in Oregon, work to ensure our small businesses have the support they need to grow and thrive in our community, and protect Oregon’s environment for generations to come .
