Kanpur: A police constable brandished a pistol at a class 10 student following a petty dispute in Etawah’s Chakarnagar police station area. The policeman also threw braids at the student. The incident, which happened on Monday afternoon, was caught on video which later went viral on social media platforms.
Chakarnagar Circle Officer Prem Chandra acknowledged the occurrence of the incident and assured that appropriate action will be taken after a thorough investigation into the matter.
An officer familiar with the investigation said, “A group of students had gathered outside their college when a policeman deployed on Dial 112 jokingly addressed a student as an NCC cadet. investigated further action will be taken based on available evidence”. thn
