As Election Day begins, news networks are ramping up comprehensive coverage to track results across the country as voters cast their ballots on Tuesday.

Coverage will be throughout the day, but when does the main special election coverage begin for each network?

NBC coverage on Election Day

NBC News will begin coverage of “Decision 2024” on NBC, NBC News NOW and NBCNews.com beginning at 5:00 PM ET. The network plans to air 24 consecutive hours of live coverage on local NBC stations beginning at 5 pm ET on Election Day and continuing through the night. Hosts Lester Holt and Savannah Guthrie, along with “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker, Hallie Jackson and Tom Llamas, will lead special coverage beginning at 6:30 PM ET.

CNN Election Day coverage

CNN’s “Election Night in America” ​​will begin its live coverage at 4 p.m. ET with anchors Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper, with analysis from Dana Bash, Erin Burnett and Chris Wallace.
