Suspect arrested in Redford neighborhood. domestic violence shooting

Redford Township police arrested a suspect in a fatal domestic violence attack Monday.

Officers responded to a home in the 15000 block of Delaware Avenue around 12:23 a.m. Monday and found an unresponsive 30-year-old man who had been shot, the Delaware Police Department said in a news release .

The Redford Township Fire Department treated the man and took him to Corewell Health Hospital in Farmington Hills, where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.

The police arrested a suspect, who remained at the scene. Officials have not named or identified the suspect at large.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no longer a danger to the community.

Of the 69,765 victim injuries reported that year, 101 were fatal, according to the report.
