PHOENIX (AZ Family) — A suspect is dead after a Phoenix police officer-involved shooting late Monday night.

The shooting happened around 10pm nearby 15th And Wier Avenues.

Police said they received a call about a burglary in progress. When they responded, the suspect was in a vehicle and a police pursuit began.

The suspect crashed his vehicle into a retaining wall in the area of ​​15th and Wier, police said. He then got out of the car with two guns.

Officers tried to detain him, but police say that’s when he pointed the guns at the officers, who then fired their guns.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured during the shooting.

No other suspects have been identified.

This investigation is still ongoing.

This is the 46th officer-involved shooting in Maricopa County this year and the 79th in Arizona.
