Baba Siddique murder: Mumbai Police deploys teams outside Maharashtra to locate suspects

Mumbai police have deployed five teams outside the Indian state of Maharashtra to locate suspects involved in the killing of politician Baba Siddique, news agency ANI reported on Tuesday (November 5).

The crime branch of the Mumbai police said the weapons used to commit the crime were from Rajasthan. A total of five weapons have been recovered so far.

Teams searching Haryana for alleged mastermind

ANI reported that Mumbai police teams were actively searching Haryana for Siddique’s alleged crime mastermind. So far, the crime branch has arrested a total of 15 accused, of whom 10 are in judicial custody.

Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra on October 12. He was the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) – Ajit Pawar faction.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Baba Siddique’s murder, citing the politician’s close ties with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Recently, a man from Noida in Uttar Pradesh was arrested for making death threats to Siddique’s son Zeeshan and Salman Khan.

Salman Khan receives another death threat

Salman Khan received a second death threat this week. Mumbai police received a threat message against alleged gang actor Lawrence Bishnoi.

The threatening message demanded that Khan pay $594,397 (Rs 5 million) to stay alive.

Police said the message came on WhatsApp on Monday, adding that an investigation has been launched.
