MAIN PROVISIONS
  • SAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms move toward the Gulf Coast through the east

  • Primary Threats: Flooding due to heavy rains. Isolated wind gusts to 60 mph, localized hail of 1 inch

  • TUESDAY: It clears gradually, low humidity, cooler

FORECAST

Showers and thunderstorms moved into Bexar County and the San Antonio metro area, producing heavy rain, but lightning became less frequent. The rain band will gradually move eastward away from San Antonio along with the associated cold front.

Most of the action should begin to taper off around 3 a.m. as it moves toward the Gulf Coast, then low morning clouds will lead to a sunny afternoon Tuesday. Tomorrow will generally feel nicer, with low humidity and afternoon highs in the mid-70s (down from 90° today in San Antonio).

Wednesday will feel like fall, with sunrise temperatures in the low 50s in Bexar County and in the 40s in outlying areas.

Moisture returns for Thursday and Friday, and help will increase the chance of rain over the two days. Another cold front is expected Friday afternoon which will pave the way for a pleasant weekend.
