Millana Snow’s daily routine includes breathing and matcha

Millana Snow is not your average Los Angeles wellness girl. “My process is different – this work is truly transformative,” the breathing and meditation expert she tells Bustle. She is known to her one-on-one coaching with celebrities and top executives alike plus, she says, a confidential member of the Royal Family. Now she’s taking her message to the masses with her first book out in 2025 (currently untitled) and she online healing circleMonthly integration.

She calls her guided breathing technique an “out of this world” experience – but what does that mean, exactly? I tried it and found that her physiological visualization and meditation helped me align with my spiritual center. For the less woo-woo, it helped me find confidence by reflecting, connecting, and approaching challenges through a non-judgmental lens.

The Hollywood Healer is not new to this scene. Meditating since the age of 4, she developed her signature healing method while working in entertainment as a model and actor. Inspired by her Afro-Latin, American and British roots, as well as a passion for religion, anthropology and psychology, her unique approach has spread through a community of seekers both online and by word of mouth.

Next, Snow takes us through the wellness rituals she swears by to feel like the best version of herself, from waking up in the sun to having sex before breakfast.

What’s your wellness-inspired morning routine?

One thing I am very interesting about is waking up very early. Usually 5 in the morning or 4:30 in the winter.

Wow, why so early?

No one bothers you. No one expects you to answer them. That and in the ancient Indian tradition, waking up between 4 and 6 o’clock whatever time zone you are in, it allows your mind to be more open to the spiritual realm.

What is something unexpected about your wellness routine?

Well, my husband and I sleep in separate beds. I warmly recommend it.

I bet people have a lot of opinions on this. when did you start this

We’ve been together for six years and I proposed after a year. He’s a light sleeper and I’m not, so it made sense to me so we could both get a good night’s sleep. I asked him if that would be okay with him and he was so grateful that we lined up!

Does sleeping in separate rooms affect your sex life at all?

We have sex almost every morning, actually! At 5:30 and it’s amazing. We are in such a wonderful, artistic space in the morning. However, I brush my teeth first.

I like the transparency. What is your morning drink of choice?

I make a matcha latte with this organic matcha in bulk from Costco – it’s so bomb. I sip from this while reading and then go straight into the Morning Pages from The Artist’s Way. I do this for half an hour. You’re supposed to write by hand, but I do it on the computer because some of this stuff ends up in my book.

Do you have a fitness routine?

Every morning I go for a walk with a 30-kilogram backpack. It’s a three mile walk around Silver Lake Reservoir and it’s so peaceful.

At this point in the morning, have you touched your phone yet?

Not very much, no. I made the decision earlier this year not to open Instagram unless I’m posting. I don’t go on Instagram to search.

How do you balance being a spiritual leader and content creator?

Writing this book was a catalyst that helped me realize that there is something more important than what my social media presence demands of me. What you gain by not being plugged in is excellence, and the excellence of your work is why people follow you.
