A native of Northern California, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and sports communications. Before joining The Sporting News, Cate was the Life and Style editor at her college paper and a sports reporter at her hometown paper. In her free time, she enjoys baking, being outdoors, and discovering new music.
