A Place in the Sun fans fuming over ‘wasted’ hour as new series sparks outrage

Channel 4 viewers were left feeling disappointed on Monday afternoon as a new series of A Place in the Sun failed to impress.

In the latest episode of Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun, presenter Laura Hamilton was tasked with helping Fran and Noel find the perfect holiday home.

The couple’s property search took place in Andalucia’s picturesque Pueblos Blancos, armed with a budget of £100,000 and a desire for a two-bedroom house with a picturesque view.

However, the initial stages of the search did not go down well, with Noel quick to criticize the size and appearance of the first property they visited.

Fran wasn’t shy about expressing her thoughts either, remarking, “It’s too dark for me and too closed.”

Noel also had reservations about certain aspects of the house, noting in particular: “The bathroom – I wouldn’t be happy about that… To have a bathroom so close to the kitchen.”

Fran further added to her concerns about practicality, saying: “I think about bedrooms if I want to get up in the night and go to the toilet, I have to come all the way here. It’s not feasible when I’m halfway through. asleep.”

Their hopes were dashed when they climbed the stairs only to realize that this property was not meant for them, they report. mirror.

The second viewing brought more promise, with a 3-bedroom house in Cutar immediately appealing to the pair.

During their exploration, it became apparent that they liked the property, although Fran mentioned that she would prefer something further down the mountain, she still admitted that it was a strong possibility.

Unfortunately, the rest of the viewings of the property did not live up to expectations, with the third option being particularly disappointing due to the dilapidated condition of the house next door.

Noel noted, “It doesn’t have the appeal we were hoping for.”

Despite going inside, they couldn’t look beyond the outside of the house, so it failed to impress them. At the end of their property journey, the pair informed Laura that although they loved their second property, the location was a sticking point.

However, the process enlightened them on the area they wanted for their holiday home, leaving them optimistic about future prospects. The premiere left the audience disappointed, as many criticized the episode for the selection of houses.

Someone else wrote “Let’s hope they NEVER do it again.”

An unimpressed fan shared Twitter: “Well, this is the first newly made episode. Let’s hope they improve.£

While another summed up the sentiment with: “Stupid first episode of new series. I have to try harder.”

Although someone else praised Laura’s efforts, adding: “Now it’s Laura using all her skills.”
