Hallmark is casting for a new movie in NY: Here’s how to apply

Hallmark is casting for a new movie in New York State and you can apply to be a part of it.

HBG Casting LLC is casting background characters for a Hallmark movie in the upstate New York areas of Albany and Schenectady.

The role will be for Hallmark’s newest film, Like Nobody’s Business, starring Rachael Leigh Cook, known for her roles in She’s All That, Josie and the Pussycats, The Baby-Sitters Club and the series television shows “In the West” and “Perception”.

Filming began on Monday and runs until Friday, November 22. It gives state residents a chance to get in on the action as background stars.

A background role is any non-speaking role in a film, television show or commercial. Some roles are featured, special ability, core (they return for the same role for several days in the same production) and sometimes they are part of large crowds.

To apply for a role, you must be 18 years of age or older, be a union or non-union actor, and complete the availability on an online form.

Screen Actors Guild rates will apply.
