Caller reports theft after bottle of vodka left in living room – Detroit Lakes Tribune

  • 7:48 a.m.: Caller from Shady Lane, Detroit Lakes, residence reported hearing work trucks and loud noises at 2 a.m. the previous morning. The caller was advised to call back when it happens, if it happens again.
  • 9:55 a.m.: Osage caller reported a Clearing House scam. The appellant did not fall victim to the scam but wanted to claim it.
  • 4:30 p.m.: Caller at a Loon Drive residence, Ogema, reported a theft. Nothing was stolen from the residence, but the resident found a bottle of vodka in the living room that was not there before.
  • 19:12: Audubon caller reported receiving a harassing text message.
  • 20:02: A semi truck hit a car on County Highway 7, Lake Park. No one was injured, but the semi and its trailer were damaged. There is no additional information in the call log.
  • 7:17 a.m.: Vandalism was reported on Timber Drive, Detroit Lakes, when graffiti and a crushed pumpkin were found in the road.
  • 4:09 p.m.: Caller reported a suspicious vehicle at Mile Maker 256 along US Highway 59, Detroit Lakes. The car had blown tires and had been there for about two weeks. The owner could not be reached.
  • 20:38: A rollover accident was reported on County Highway 37, Ponsford. The driver of the vehicle refused medical transport.
  • 21:15: Caller reported hearing three gunshots near a residence on Linden Road, Rochert. The caller thought it might have been poachers, but no one was found by law enforcement.
  • 01:22: Caller reported an intoxicated person who became belligerent at a Loring Avenue, Detroit Lakes residence. The incident was resolved without issue.
  • 1:50 am: Caller reported an unknown person kicked in their front door and ran into a Saint Clair Circle, Detroit Lakes residence. The caller said the unknown person appeared to be a teenager.
  • 1:54 am: Caller reported a suspicious person who appeared to be sleeping in a vehicle on a property on East Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes. The person in the vehicle was asleep until someone came to help him with the car, which had broken down.
  • 3:01 am: Caller to a Saint Clair Circle, Detroit Lakes, residence reported an egg was thrown at a neighbor’s home. A group of children were spoken to, and their parents took care of the problem.
  • 8:45 a.m.: Caller reported that their Long Lake Road, Detroit Lakes home had a power outage overnight.
  • 14:51: A Park Rapids business reported via email that a person who had their property broken into has returned to the business.
  • 4:41 p.m.: Caller reported someone shooting in a marsh near a 21 Freeway, Detroit Lakes, residence.
  • 17:29: Caller reported finding a bullet hole in the mailbox at a residence on County Highway 26, Rochert.
  • 20:48: Appellant requested that a female be removed from the County Highway 26, Ponsford, residence after the female threatened to pour hot oil on the appellant.
  • 21:32: Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked behind a church in Rochert. The vehicle had hunting gear in it and appeared to be safe. The car was gone by 3am the next morning.
  • 10:08 a.m.: Caller from a residence on 370th Street, Ogema, reported a vehicle drove through their tire fence the night before. The vehicle also tore up grass and destroyed several young trees.
  • 12:03 p.m.: Caller reported the theft of two cameras and a solar panel from a property on 355 Street, Ogema. One camera was valued at $350 and the other at $200. The caller posted photos of the suspect on social media and believes they know who took the cameras.
  • 13:22: A man attempted to steal a battery charger from a business on US Highway 10 West, Detroit Lakes. The man was stopped.
  • 3:06 p.m.: A Frazee caller reported that their blue Schwinn bicycle valued at $100 was stolen.
  • 15:27: A caller from an Eagle Lake Road residence, Frazee, reported smelling gas. No leak found.
  • 18:12: A caller from Pelican Rapids reported their Facebook account was hacked. The caller thought they were being contacted by Meta customer service, the company that owns Facebook. The scammer then gained access to the caller’s account after the account details were shared.
  • 18:46: Caller reported a stove fire at a residence on Madison Avenue, Detroit Lakes. The caller was able to extinguish the fire.
