SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport Police responded to an assault and battery incident around 3:45 pm on Sunday, November 3rd.

The incident happened at a hotel in the 6700 block of Rasberry Lane.

Police describe the scene as marked by “a strong smell of alcohol and blood on the floor”. A man was also found with severe bleeding from the head.

Investigators determined the victim and Tiana Phelps traveled together from Dallas after meeting on Facebook days before. After arguing about finances, the situation turned violent and Phelps allegedly hit the victim several times in the head with a bottle of Don Julio tequila.

The victim suffered significant injuries to the right side of his face and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Phelps was arrested and charged with second degree battery.
