how employees engage with zero net benefits

As awareness of environmental responsibility grows, the financial barriers to reducing one’s carbon footprint remain high for many. Recent research by Schematic of electric cars reveals that 53% of UK consumers say they cannot afford to reduce their carbon footprint and 62% say price is the biggest barrier to switching to an electric car. Schematic of the electric car aims to overcome these financial barriers making Net Zero the obvious choice.

Through salary sacrifice, the Electric Car Scheme allows employees to save 30-60% on the cost of an electric car. These savings make electric vehicles (EVs) a viable option for thousands of drivers, allowing them to save significantly while actively contributing to a more sustainable future. The results speak for themselves: employees participating in the scheme not only save money, but also show increased job satisfaction, with some companies seeing up to a 50% reduction in resignation rates among employees benefiting from the scheme.

The electric car scheme is now generating greater affordability by incorporating used electric vehicles, which already account for half of new business. This expansion allows more employees to find an affordable electric vehicle without breaking the bank.

Join Tom Eilon from The Electric Car Scheme at 1.15pm on the Employee Engagement Stage for the first day of CIPD ACE (6 November) to find out more about how your employees engage with the benefits of Net Zero, today and in the future.

In addition, we will announce the launch of a new category of Net Zero benefits. Be sure to join the discussion to be the first to know about this exciting new update!
