Falcons hits at Cowboys lead Week 9 NFL trolls

A busy Week 9 provoked trolls around the league.

The Atlanta Falcons found their stride, picking up their fifth win in the last six weeks. The Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, dropped their third straight in a 27-21 loss.

Kirk Cousins threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns and Bijan Robinson ran 86 yards. Dak Prescott left the game early in the fourth quarter with a thigh injury.

The Falcons are known to be stingy after their wins this season. That trend continued this week as Atlanta poked fun at Dallas being known as “America’s Team,” as well as Cowboys fan singer Post Malone and popular teams.

Here are more top trolls from Week 9.

A five-game losing streak for the Carolina Panthers ended in dramatic fashion.

Down by five points with just over three minutes left in the game, Bryce Young chased the Panthers down the field, culminating in a Chuba Hubbard quick landing. The New Orleans Saints had one last chance, but turned it over on foot, resulting in their seventh straight loss.

Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan vented his frustrations on X after the loss. His post caught the attention of Carolina, who responded with an old viral video from a fan.

The Detroit Lions won their sixth straight game after handling the Green Bay Packers. It marked the Lions’ third straight win at Lambeau Field, the longest such winning streak since they won four in a row from 1986 to 1991.

in Detroit Jared Goff threw for 145 yards and a score and Jahmyr Gibbs ran for a 15-yard touchdown. Green Bay’s Jordan Love had 273 passing yards but was intercepted by Kerby Joseph near the end of the first half, resulting in a 27-yard pick-6.

The Lions’ big win didn’t come without a cheese-themed troll targeting the Packers.

The Arizona Cardinals defense dominated against the Chicago Bears, allowing just 241 yards while recording six sacks.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals posted 213 rushing yards and three touchdowns, marking their first game with at least 200 rushing yards and three rushing scores since 2020.

Arizona poked fun at its Chicago namesake after its win.

The Buffalo Bills needed a 61-yard field goal from the Tyler Bass to beat the Miami Dolphins at home.

Buffalo’s seventh straight victory required a late drive from the Josh Allen. With the score tied at 27, the Bills regained possession with 1:38 left. They drove to the Miami 43-yard line for a field goal with five seconds left.

The win snaps Buffalo’s undefeated season against Miami, which it beat 31-10 in September. The Bills posted a “Miami Vice” inspired graphic. They also took a jab at tight end from the Dolphins John Smith.

The Washington Commanders had their best nine-game start since 1996 after holding on to beat the New York Giants.

New York made it a one-possession game with 2:48 left in the fourth. Washington responded by keeping the chains moving on its next possession, securing a win. Jayden Daniels threw for 209 yards and two scores — both for Terry McLaurin.

Commanders had a simple troll, making a reference to New York City’s “Big Apple” nickname.

The Los Angeles Chargers defense shined to secure a road win. They forced three turnovers by the Cleveland Browns, all from James Winston.

Justin Herbert he had 282 yards and two touchdowns and JK Dobbins ran for 85 yards and two scores. Quentin Johnston had four receptions for a game-high 118 yards plus a touchdown.

The Chargers put their own spin on a “Family Guy” clip to troll the Browns.
