Woman MP stabs husband’s first wife over 50 times after dispute in Rewa

A woman from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district has seriously injured her husband’s first wife by stabbing her more than 50 times with a knife following an argument. 22-year-old Mansi and 26-year-old Jaya are both married to Rambabu Verma. The incident took place on Diwali, October 31, when a disagreement between Mansi and Jaya turned violent, according to the police.

In a fit of rage, Mansi stabbed Jaya more than 50 times. Jaya was soon rushed to a hospital where her condition was reported to be critical. On information, the police reached the spot and detained Mansi, charging her under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

According to a report by India Today, the police confirmed that Jaya was married to Rambabu Verma in 2019. But due to health issues, Verma married Mansi in 2021.

Senior police official Udit Mishra said a case has been registered, adding, “Rambabu’s first wife Jaya was often ill, which prompted him to marry Manasi.

Juveniles stab 35-year-old man 50 times in Delhi’s Jafrabad

In a separate incident, a 35-year-old man was stabbed by four juveniles in northeast Delhi’s Jafrabad area on May 6. The attack happened at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to police reports. All four attackers were arrested in connection with the incident.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead, police said. Nazir was stabbed around 50 times, they added. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Joy Tirkey said a team from Jafrabad police station on Monday detained four minors in connection with the incident, PTI reported.

Additional information has emerged about Nazir’s past, revealing his involvement in multiple cases of robbery and attempted murder. DCP Tirkey said the suspects confessed that they targeted Nazir because he had threatened one of them just two days before the fatal attack. This detail provides an insight into the potential reasons behind the tragedy, according to PTI.

An additional officer said the interrogation of the minors is ongoing as the police suspect that they may have been directed by another person to commit the crime. This suspicion is linked to Nazir’s role as a witness in the case of his brother’s murder, adding complexity to the investigation.
